Man and animal belong to the same group of creatures that range from fish to birds to insects to dogs to humans. What they all have in common is the ability to ingest food, supply their bodies with energy and excrete waste, and to breathe oxygen.

With the work “ORGANISM 1 / Animalis” I created an artificial organism. Endlessly rotating and breathing regularly, it ingests food and excretes. It exists solely for the purpose of self-preservation. Its round body has no limbs, bones, sensory organs, sexual organs, no head or brain, and no thoughts. Consisting solely of skin and organs, its body contains the same internal organs as mammals.
Methods exist in alternative medicine to measure the energy states of organs and parts of the body and then visualize these energy states in curves. The data for my organs were transformed into sequences of sounds that accompany the movements of the organism acoustically.
