All humans living today are offsprings of the same chain of ancesters and all of these individuals are connected by their evolutionary past – the installation „Human Fabric #1“ makes these connections visible. The data for this human fabric is provided through my own family relations (containing 600 individuals at the moment). A drawn family tree is serving as construction plan for the complex and widely ramified sculpture that is hovering in the space.

The more informations on further relatives I will be able to find in the future, the bigger the Human Fabric will be growing, with sisal ropes sprawling from the past to the future and connecting the generations with eachother.
